Why should anyone invest in any new battle mechanics after SM? Triple Battle was removed. Rotation Battle was removed. Battle Royale was removed. Megas and Z-moves were removed. So why should I invest time and energy, plan teams, raise pokemon for any of this since the precedent is painfully clear by now that anything new will soon be removed without warning, thus making my effort worthless? Is it not the point of Pokemon that you can transfer your monsters forward and keep playing with them?
