Now seems like a good time to state how much I fucking HATE grinding, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna lose this to the Nugget Bridge rival, so I got everyone up to at least 17 before taking him on. I used both Rare Candies I had to speed up getting my new Sandshrew Slash, which, HOLY HELL, has made this section stupidly easy. Crit city all day! I've defeated Misty quite easily thanks to Bonzai and I'm now past the house invading Rocket member, but also:
-I Evolved both Fang (who made his way back out of the box after the slaughter at Mt. Moon)
AND Kamikaze, into Raticate and Fearow respectively
-Missed both my opportunities at catches with Routes 24 and 25 which BOTH gave me Abras that I just couldn't catch, so no help there :(
-Taught Dozer the Sandshrew Dig that I just got as well as Seismic Toss, which... well... Like I said I can't read Japanese and so I may have maybe possibly taught him Seismic Toss first by mistake not realizing what TM was what... :/ On the bright side Dozer is now an absolute UNIT, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little annoyed at using up Seismic Toss there.
Anyway, ONWARD TO VICTORY AND MAYBE A NEW CATCH ON ROUTE 5 MAYBE HOPEFULLY
oh yeah and I got tired of waiting so I just snagged the Helix Fossil ;P
