1. some random contrarian is going to say they used it ingame once and it's their 215th favorite so it doesn't count
2. certain Pokemon like pic related are so unremarkable that they loop around to being talked about because they're so forgotten about
3. After a certain point some Pokemon have just been around so long people have been given a chance to use or talk about them over the decade plus they've been around, so any Pokemon in Gens 1-3 are stricken from this discussion
4. Pokemon is just a massive fanbase and there's SOMEONE out there who's a big fan of s random shitter like Binacle.
The actual least talked about Pokemon is probably either a single or mid-stage Gen 4-8 Pokemon that sucks in comp and has an uninteresting design as well as no memorable gimmick. My personal money is on Stonjourner but recency bias aids it a little. We could probably get a rough estimate on the Pokemon discusssed the least if we search every Pokemon's name on the archive and see what comes up, but this only gives us a vague idea because as much as something like Baxcalibur is a comp threat, I doubt it has many fans.
