>>43356648I mean it is a really stupid fucking trope regardless of this fetish, like I get it's supposed to be symbolic but it almost always makes a character look really vein also it's really lazy way to show character development, I mean "I got a hair cut so now I'm mature" sounds really stupid on paper, plus they always look worse for doing it.
like if I went to the hair dressers and got a trim does that mean I'm starting a new mature character arc for myself? that'd be like clipping your toe nails being a metaphor for growing up guess that makes hair growth character regression because you'd never see someone do that to show progression.
