They have virtually no significance, no use, besides being filler for the dex just because some designer wanted to make a firefly couple (And if you ask anyone at a glance, "firefly" would be the last thing on their minds). These 2 are right up their in bugshitmonnyness alongside the Wormadams in Gen 4, but at least those had a form gimmick. You compare them to even the Gen 3 bugs and they dont stack up:
