As for your pixel art, get MONKEY PAWED! Now everyone does the DS' resolution of 256x192 :P
But yeah, we used to have pixel art for 768p monitors, but then 16:9 came along and people just kind of dropped pixel art because dealing with millions of pixels isn't fun.
I miss detailed pixel art too myself, even though I can't draw for shit.
