It's creepy now because of the uncanny valley. And it produces the uncanny valley effect because the algorithms are still being tweaked and the example sets still being fed to them. Improvements are happening at an exponential rate.
It won't be long before it stops being creepy entirely, indistinguishable from the intent of the users.
