Something about the entire Porygon family just clicks for me. I don't even like birds that much, but the Porygons have always appealed to me. I thought it was Ice-type the first time I saw it in the Pokerap. Competitively I'm still trying to get Porygon-Z to work out for me, but I'm happy Porygon2 with Eviolite has been good at least. I thought I should Masuda at least once in my Pokemon gaming and Porygon would be the appropriate choice and I finally got it after 780 eggs with the right IVs.
Lanturn is another one I love. First time I played Pokemon Stadium 2 (which was before my exposure to GSC) and saw Chinchou I immediately liked it. Caught it in Crystal later and been using Lanturn in many playthroughs in several of the future games. Lanturn performs great in battle too, even if it is an inferior Rotom-W in most of its niches.
Lanturn and Porygon-Z/Porygon2 are mainstays in my teams, I always begin team building with them in the first 2 slots.
