>>49998717You are partly correct, Jynx has some inspiration from Yama uba, but she is not inspired by the Yama Uba from the Kintaro legend. But to create Smoochum they took into account this element of Jynx and used it to link her with her pre-evolution, as you can see Smoochum has the classic hairstyle that represents Kintaro as a baby. An in-universe example would be Remoraid and Octillery that the link they share is the weapons issue.
