>>37343364I think it has to do with all the controversy surrounding real-life rapist dolphins who like to sodomize human swimmers on a whim. It would be insensitive to add a dolphin Pokemon given all the rape victims. Also, they already missed their golden opportunity, as Alola would have been the most thematically consistent region to introduce a dolphin species in. Could've been a ride Poke instead of Sharpedo/ Lapras/ Mantine.
