There's also the fact that the ultimate moves were only able to make holes in rock instead of blowing up an entire mountain and many more feats that don't make sense.
The Pokémon anime is a strong verse but most of the time the fights are fucking fast barely lasting 5 minutes in universe and in controled areas, PokeSpe being a stronger verse is false and only looks like that because they're trying to make game mechanics when that doesn't work in any setting.
