But I've talked to many a person who does that and many are perfectly happy the way they are with their waifu or even husbando. They either don't want or don't need a real partner and are happier without one. I know this may be hard for you to grasp but the norm doesn't work for everyone.
Besides, even if it doesn't make them happy, isn't that their own business? You aren't required to fix them in any way. If they're happy then leave them be. If they aren't, it has nothing to do with you.
