But those games were crafted well over a decade ago. Nowadays? A California region would be nothing more than a superficial stereotype fest with hippie trainers and some un-based version of Pokewood. The villain team; Team Direct which follows you around hoping to get the perfect angle on Pokemon battles ending in some convoluted bullshit on wildfires and starting them in order to make the best Pokemon action movie. It's all so predictable I can only preemptively seethe at the idea of this nonsense, but the "Wild Bay Area" should make it all better, right?
There are lots of amazing games based in America, but this wouldn't be one of them. Game Freak wouldn't take it seriously enough, and well, they probably shouldn't.
