Some fresh OC. I tried my hand at a Sandslash evo. He can bury both shield arms in the ground and they line up to form (obviously) a shield. The red stripe and eye markings are to appear scary and a bit regal. The steel type goes along with the shield and the silver feet (like knight’s shoes) to give off a kingly vibe. Expanding on Sandslash’s concept was hard because in a lot of my designs, I would keep the back spines since they’re iconic, but I ultimately decided to do something not expected, for the sake of pushing the design.
I was conflicted on the typing though, since I’d like him to be defensive in battle, and gaining fire, ground, and fighting weaknesses doesn’t exactly help your livability, but at least he’s not weak to grass or ice anymore, and he has a poison immunity...
