Alright guys, I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I think I've resurrected Funbro.
The obvious problem is that this needs two or three mons to function, making it impossible to use by Showderp standards, but people could add clauses to their requests if this takes off (Funbro A if others are present, otherwise Specs Weedle), Let me know if you see any problems.
Slowbro @ Leppa Berry
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Trick
- Block
- Slack Off
- Thunder Wave
Just like old Funbro, this set relies on using Block on the enemy, which means it can be switched out of (if done immediately), as usual. Slack Off keeps him alive and Twave helps him and others do their job with the crippled speed and parahax. Funbro's immediate role is to Trick a Leppa Berry onto the enemy pokemon. Even if he gets a scarf in return, it's alright since dry switching still works.
Gothitelle @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash
- Rest
- Charm
- Confide
This is the optional intermediate set. Drop attackers down to -6/-6/-6 if you want, but since they'll have be holding the leppa berry, they could easily eat it themselves and ruin the strat by spamming low PP moves.
Gothorita @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Recycle
- Rest
- Fling
Replace with Gothitelle if no other Gothitelle is present. So, Funbro requires 5 things.
1. No switching (Block/Shadow Tag)
2. Self-healing (Slack-Off/Rest)
3. Recycle
4. Leppa Berry (having it outright or tricking it)
5. A way to keep the enemy from damaging themself. (Fling/Heal Pulse)
This means Shadow Tag is necessary to trap an enemy and still have all the required moves.
Heal Pulse and Recycle are illegal together on the Goth family, but Fling is not, and it restores the PP of a random enemy move by 10 when flung. This means the enemy will constantly be using their moves instead of struggling, which is dangerous.
