Otherwise pretty sure they're also the reason you're not longer able to rename pokemon after another pokemon (they'd trick people by naming arceus-steel "arceus-flying" or vice versa) and why they kept messing with how match chat works, since they were just this cloud of gremlins bullying any kid unfortunate enough to get matched against them, at any hour of the day for years
The showdown mods probably fucking hated all those people, it was a good time
