>>51224826>>51224853literal objectfag, ill try and explain subtlety and cohesion to you because i want to save you. dragonflies and helicopters have convergent design(with the helicopter literally being based on a dragonfly). it is much more rewarding and interesting to make a dragonfly that plays on that relationship instead of making JUST a dragonfly or JUST a helicopter with eyes. dragonflies have 2 sets of wings (2 blades on helicopter instead of 1 on airplane) which allows them to maneuver more dynamically than birds.
as for how yanma line is LITERALLY based off helicopters:
yanma is based off the early helicopter designs that had the larger plastic/glass cockpits and tiny metal frames.
yanmega is based off the modern militarized apache-style helicopters. its color has turned to military green. its body is more bulkier/armored appearing. its dex entries also start mentioning it to be more combative/violent.
both have dex entries that consistently mention transporting humans/taking off/tail offering counter balance. you can have a helicopter pokemon without it LITERALLY being a helicopter pokemon. and that's what objectfags will never understand because they have have a bad sense of design.
