Game Freak understood the logic and philosophy behind their designs while still adding real world elements to their design with a twist to make them all the more believable. The Tyrannosaurus-Rex translates to Tyrant Lizard King. Adding the crown-like helmet to a Pokemon like Tyrantrum who is based off of the T-rex is nothing short of genius and deserves artistic merit. A perfect example of a clear and concise Pokemon designs back in the day. It's a T-rex with an emphasis on royalty. Simple yet filled with clever and logical additional designs
>Gen 3 WigglytuffGame Freak has completely forgotten the philosophy of it's designs. No attention to detail, eyes are nightmarishly round. You can't even tell what this thing is supposed to be. Is it a rabbit? Is it candy? Ultimately looks like a plush-toy meant for the sol purpose of selling toys. Something a factory can churn out and sell to the masses because it's Pokemon. People will eat this shit up no matter what they draw.
