Is this still the latest thread?
Here's every overworld map from V1 "fixed", as in, with the wrongest tiles replaced with something that might make more sense.
https://mega.nz/#!UQYTjSyL!UbgvoFb1dPT8ZRdvlyb00t3j2lDOmApFkI1AJ-3sstUA few things I noticed while doing this:
* The League is blocked off, and two signposts are in front of the rudimentary fence blocking the path. This doesn't make much sense if this was a development snapshot, and makes way more sense if it was data from a review copy or some sort of sample, so maybe the leak comes from outside of GF?
* A similar pattern can be seen in Celadon City, with the fences and the billboards on the top corner. If I had to guess, these billboards said something akin to "Under construction!". Again, this doesn't make much sense if this was a development snapshot.
* There's only one cave in place, and it's one of Digglet's Cave exits. It's immediately accessible from Route 2.
* There's no equivalent to cuttable trees.
* One of the corrupted tiles is the CVS sign for convenience stores, which is also very near the end of the blockset, which leads me to believe that it's a later addition and that it replaced another fully solid block.
* An oddity: there's a block present in the map but not in the blockset. The entrance to what I assume is the Pewter Museum has a Pokéball Billboard that uses a roof tile for which, according to the blockset included with the data, there's no block with that billboard and that roof tile. No idea what's that about.
* Thinking about it, If the the PMC signs stand for "Pokémon Center", then it's very unlikely that the V1 data comes from a Capumon build, as the monsters were referred as "Pokémon" in-game already. Makes you wonder where did the Capumon title graphic came from, then.
* Placeholder routes seem to be from an even earlier iteration. Only routes that have been worked are Routes 1, 2 and 19 oddly enough. Every other route is either almost empty or is in a very rough state.
