It caused the biggest dip in pokemon traffic on smogon/reddit/4chan in history.
It caused almost everyone I know to "take a break" from Pokemon.
It was so bad that the discontent and anger associated with Sword and Shield is built upon USUMs foundation.
Dexit alone would not have had this much traction and power if people weren't already primed by the 3DS games. Especially this clear and nasty cash grab. It is EA or 2k level of heldback content sold as DLC, unusual even for Pokemon which is built on the concept.
That all said, yeah, it's not that bad, just has a few downgrades and a few upgrades and is overall okay if you ignore the unskippable cutscenes and further babying of the player. I hope we have more future protagonists who are so creepy and memeable.
