>>55358249>>55358230Someone actually looked Gen 2s OU and the representation of each generation's Pokemon lines up with the almost perfectly of each gens pokemon in the game. However Queen Snorlax happens to be from KANTOOO so Kanto seems much stronger than it is. I think Gen 3 is similar. Gen 4 onwards is when OU becomes dominated mostly by newer Gen Pokemon.
Also, Johto is hated because of useless baby pokemon, but Sinnoh introduced just as many babies. However, because Sinnoh has so many legendaries so it has proportionally less babies (8/107 vs 8/100) . Also Sinnoh has even more Postgame Pokemon than Gen 2 does, but its postgame just happens to be in the same region so it doesn't count. Also Game Freak did a much better job shilling cooler and stronger Pokemon Gen 4.
tdr, outside of massive outliers like Ledian (early game bug), Delibird, Sunflora and Unown (and honestly Unown shouldn't even count since its more of a collectable than a Pokemon). Gen2's pokemon aren't noticeably weaker than Gen's 1 or 3s Gen 2 Pokemon just happens to consistently draw the short end whenever it comes to shilling for some reason.
