Landorus doesn't do that - you counter it by being prepared for Ground types already. Pretty much anything you bring to deal with Garchomp, Gliscor, Great Tusk, Mamoswine, or Swampert is going to be equally effective at dealing with Landorus, and if you're not prepared for a Ground type, you're building your team wrong.
You aren't forced to bring extra Pokemon you wouldn't already bring just because Lando exists. What Lando offers is role compression letting you fit more Pokemon that you actually want to bring on your team. Prior to Swampert getting Flip Turn, Lando was the only viable Ground type with a pivot move, and you already need to pack a Ground type on every team because of the ultra powerful Electric types like Tapu Koko, Zeraora, Regieleki, Mega-Manectric, and Thundurus-T. If you removed Lando, every team would now need another Ground type and another pivot meaning instead of having 5 slots to fit what you want you're down to just 4.
