It's pretty fun, but so damn slow! That's the worst part about it.
I also had to box my starters and make a no gift mons/special encounter rule since there are a bunch. I feel that this is one thing that Drayno could have made significantly better, rather than just giving you an Eevee or the Kanto starters, why not incorporate a small side quest or challenge?
