With female pokemon all of this is trivialized. Outside obvious public abuse and theft the law cares little about anything else. Barely anyone gives a flying fuck about whether or not the pokemon getting caught had a family that you separated them from. And their health is subsidized by government with only the nutrition habits that need to be attended.

Last time I checked in the game the treatment for a fainted pokemon is the same for a poisoned, paralyzed or burned pokemon. Put them in the ball, chuck it into the machine and they're "fixed". Only the anime goes into specifics of treatment and even then you can just use items to heal them independent of the center.
