Its expanded version was much smoother since I could run Battle Compressor and the Exeggcute that can respawn from discard, and while the matchup wasn't always perfect (especially the ones that targets bench) I found myself having fun since it was innately resistant to a lot of bullshit. With a held item I could often trade blows and 2HKO most opponents and normally take two price cards instead of one, so if they couldn't keep up with my fast setup they'd usually fall behind. No clue if it's remotely feasible today, sorta dipped out once Tag Teams became a thing.
