That said, while Bonnie didn't do much other than be cute during the first half of her series, it should be noted that she arguably became more important than her brother during the latter half of the series, and at times got more material than even Serena did—like, during the Team Flare finale, Bonnie is arguably the second-most focused character behind Ash, whereas Serena takes a backseat to babysit another character. It would've been like had AG not botched the finale to Magma and Aqua, but somehow Max had a central role.
