I don't think GF wants to make gen 4 remakes. And I don't think they wanted to make Gen 3 remakes either but they no doubt saw the massive passionate hysteria fans had for remakes and saw the dollar signs. So they decided to shit out the half assed ORAS to make some cash in between gens.
I can see them making a gen 4 remake for the same reason because even now nintendrones and people who grew up with Sinnoh are crying for it. They may make the game but taking ORAS into account, there's a very slim chance any gen 4 remake would be just as good or better than the originals (also considering modern GF is now a company that sees shallow nostalgia and waifu pandering with little effort reaps big rewards). It may have some cute and sleek aesthetic improvements, but the core of what DPPt was will no doubt be watered heavily down. Enjoy free legendaries joining your party, removed features, and Mount Coronet being a straight hallway to the top.
