>>47413272Sorry I didn't mention the exact number of pokemon the average companion caught, Goh actually has a dream he works towards in the show instead of playing second fiddle to Ash region touring his way to losing a tournament then achieving their goals after parting ways with him. The most is they get some episodes where they do their thing which is entirely secondary to Ash's goals. The show is at least as much about Goh as it is about Ash so he gets way stronger character development. It's really not the fault of the other companions that the Anime had a set formula for so long that harmed what could be done with their characters, really Goh has a massive benefit of being part of a much fresher dynamic, Sun and Moon changed up the formula as well but I personally prefer the current direction.
