Sure, boost in speed is a nice gift in exchange for one turn of inactivity, but a Pokemon needs to get the crap kicked out of it first.
Steadfast on Gallade was a cruel mistake by itself, as it was an ability in direct conflict with his stat spread.
Inner Focus is shit, but I feared Steadfast on M-Gallade more.
