What is really fucked up is how most defenders do not even have a decent shield in their movepool or ability. Only Blastoise has a shield from its unite and Greedent has a small shield with Stuff cheeks but Covet is the superior move.
Yet mons like T-tar/Tsareena get better shields that can be spammed more in moves/abilities but they are not defenders. No point in playing defenders when all-rouders basically do defenders job much better while also having more damage/sustain.
