>>46488725Based take. Those are exactly the pokemon i'd cut. That way we van get reps for Gen 3 and Gen 5 as well as better choices for Gens 4 and 7. Just to clarify, better choice does not necessarily imply choosing the most popular pokemon of each gen, but rather, as Sakurai said, choosing one that has a lot of potential as a fighter. I will prioritize Pokemon that can fulfill both the Popularity AND the Playability role, though.
>Gen 3Deoxys is the objectively best Gen 3 rep. From a gameplay perspective, a lot can be done with all the form changes to make a unique and fun fighter. This along with more Legendary representation among the fighters, and a pretty popular and liked legendary to boot
>Gen 5Hard one. No clear outstanding Pokemon, but that leaves more room for wild cards. I'd personally vouch for Reuniclus with a squishy shape-shifting body able to turn into stuff like hammers, swords and cannons for attacks. Golurk is also a more basic, but awesome choice for obvious reasons.
>Gen 2Not many good options, really, but if given some creative liberties, Scizor would be cool.
>Gen 7Buzzwole would fulfill a similar role to Incineroar, while also giving UB representation. Special command grab that sucks blood to give it more power and weight. Can release the Power with a massive dashing punch
>Gen 8A couple of viable options here, but i'll go with Falinks. Being able to assemble them in Offensive, Defensive, or even split positions would be fun. Also pretty popular, non-starter. Grimmsnarl would be cool too, but i'd personally rather Falinks
