It was silent as both girls remained deep in thought. Silent until some time later when the door to the room opened up again.
The female Skull Grunt walked back in with a small box in her hands. Lillie and Moon both looked straight at it, hoping that the girl had a change of heart and was offering their Pokemon back. "Got some food for ya. We may be Team Skull, but we're not murderers. Let's see..." she started pulling different things out of the box. Some things looked edible. Some...not so much. "You two can sort this out. I've got work to do." She dropped the box, opened the cell door, and nudged it in with her foot before locking it up again.
Moon tried speaking to her as she was walking away. "W-What about our Pokemon...?"
The Skull Grunt stopped in her tracks for a second, and then continued on without a word.
"Tch." She looked at the box and knelt down, going over the contents. "What is this...? Most of it looks expired..." She continued sifting through the box until she'd seen everything. Out of fourteen foodstuffs, only two seemed fresh. She took the two items and walked over to Lillie. "Hey. This is the only stuff that looks good enough to eat. You take it."
Lillie looked up at Moon in shock. "B-But, Moon...what about you? What will you eat?"
She shrugged. "I dunno. There has to be something. And if not, I'll be fine. You were the one that skipped lunch earlier, remember?" She handed the food to Lillie with a smile on her face, and Lillie began to eat it slowly.
"T-Thank you, Moon..."
Some more time passed, and hunger started setting in for Moon. She made her way over to the box again and started looking again. "Maybe there was something I missed..." she thought. But she found the same things. Nothing hidden away, and nothing magically appeared. "Aw.." Eventually, she took out a small piece of candy, and Lillie noticed right away.
"M-Moon, you can't be thinking of eating that, right? That's a Rare Candy. That's only safe for Pokemon to eat..."
