It's not bad at all, if you like both the anime and Pokespe you might be surprised at its faithfulness to the source material. All the characters mostly get along but there's some emotional drama for conflict. There is an action plot, Ash/Serena shipping and some other pairings.
I'd go find some more old stories I liked, but I have to go touch grass now.
