I mean you say its a collector's game but catching Pokemon but catching Pokemon takes a hard back seat to battling and I'd say that actually trying to complete your dex is even more niche than running the battle frontier. You cant even really do it unless you're plugged in on whats going on with Pokemon because of event mons.
Then again, I guess that means Legends Arceus should do real well as opposed to BDSP because the capturing and collecting aspect is a much more central aspect to the gameplay.
But yeah I dont know why I'm typing all this because if I'm talking to someone who genuinely thinks that people dont play Pokemon for the battling, thats just beyond delusional and like whats the point.
