Made some modifications to polished crystal as a "proof of concept" for my non-pokemon monster catching game.
Core gameplay for my game will involve stats that do not scale off of levels i.e. stats will be the same for a monster at level 1 and level 100, not counting EV's.
Having played through this a bit, it definitely increases the difficulty, but not in an artificial grindy way. The most you'll have to train for is to have a decent moveset for some mons, but expect to have an ever rotating party. In my playthrough so far, I've pretty much swapped out every mon at least once to get through a gym or an area. Type matchups matter a lot more now.
For fun, I've also buffed the BST of some weaker mons to be even more viable, these are changes on top of Rangi's.Give it a go and tell me if my "deleveling" idea is any fun.
