The issue for me is that both times the series have done this have never topped the original Colosseum version of it. Skull/Yell are more "amusing" than Snagem was, but at the cost of plot relevancy and seeing the "twist" coming a mile away. The red herring is too obvious, whereas Colosseum didn't bother and still handled it in a more competent fashion.
