That's why these things are best taken with a grain of salt, they judge people by what they bring to the table (last I heard, they looked for people with more than one string to their bow, eg not just a programmer, 3D animator, scenario designer but people who can do that and more besides. All goes back to genwun and 10 lads doing everything required to make a video game) and if they're just bringing the minimum and expecting to skate on by, they get cast out. No passengers.
