>>36431376>you can't decide what is kept and what isn'tThat's exactly the problem, and that's exactly why Game Freak is afraid.
They need to realize there is no way to win. They have to take the initiative and save their franchise, lest it drowns in a pile of ever-increasing gimmicks and knick-knacks.
Do we need Oricorio back? It worked because four islands, Hawaii, etc. Maybe 10,000 people really love Oricorio. They'll be around forever because Game Freak doesn't want those 10,000 people to complain on the internet.
How many people would refuse to buy Gen 8 if Oricorio wasn't included. This can be extended to other pokemon. Chatot was there to show off the microphone, and it doesn't even do that anymore. Bye Chatot.
Pokemon fans have become too fat, and are indignant to the slightest suggestion of change. Game Freak should have fostered a different attitude, but now they're up shit creek without a paddle. The options are catastrophic change, or a slow inevitable decay.
