Decided to avoid the thread for a day or so to let things settle. I feel a little bad that I wasn't able to correct David's behaviour, but seeing his weird meltdown yesterday made me realise that wasn't going to happen. I feel sorry for him, he's clearly an isolated young man who's totally out of touch with the world, sort of raging against his circumstances via inappropriate art requests - I'm more sorry that you guys have to put up with him. Glad I tried, also glad that it's over.
>>48982947I know that pretty well by now, but he also switches to pestering for private account access after a certain point, as you can see in this thread. The twitter thing threw me a smidge, it seemed like Dave was trying to butter up an anon randomly when under pressure.
>You kinda have to put your foot down with this kind of posterAbsolutely but that is not always straightforward. With guys like Dave, you have to counter the victim complex and nonsense guilt slinging. That's what I angled after, in a more therapeutic fashiion - showing David a way to make a sincere apology and rebuild trust. But we all saw that he couldn't make that statement - he came closer than he ever did but still fucked up. I think he was genuinely upset FWIW, but putting on dramatics and fake shit on top of that, which is a common behaviour in histrionics and narcissists.
>>48983008Huh - I wouldn't know about any of that stuff. Seems like a vague deflection overall.
