I'll always love Silver, Blue and Barry. Their attitudes actually made me want to beat them just to see how they'd react.
Worst ones were the XY trio and Wally/May. They were so fucking BORING.
Can't say for certain but the LGPE one might take the cake as worst though.
I won't know, I'm completely avoiding LGPE.

It was enough to turn me off of the series, especially with LGPE. The old games are still fun as fuck, so I'm happy, but unless gen 8 is some groundbreaking shit, I'll keep my money.
I just don't feel like I'm getting what I pay for anymore, especially considering how many excellent games are out there, not even counting just RPGs.
