Official usage stats:
>Metagross: 4th most used pokemon
>Tyranitar: 10th most used pokemon
Kommo-o: 11th most used pokemon
Salamence: 28th most used pokemon
The rest are not visible on the global link. Metagross and salamence are presumably that high for the megas, I don't play VGC. Kommo-o is definitely there for the z move.
And in Smogon, based on their position in viability rankings:

>Mega Tyranitar: C+ in ubers, B+ in OU
>Mega Metagross: C- in ubers
>Garchomp: B in OU
>Hydreigon: C+ in OU, A+ in UU

>Kommonium Z: Banned from UU

Also, from what I recall seeing in the usage stats, metagross is close to dropping to RU, and NU may get its first ever pseudo in goodra. Metagross would probably be fairly happy in RU, not sure about goodra in NU.
