That's what I'm doing. I capture power level 3 before I enter the grass.

Fainted ralts with Synchronize and Adamant nature
Trace Ralts so I know it won't have light metal
Then Spore and False Swiping Breloom until I can finally catch that fucker!

Super Training is more reliable, direct, and doesn't take memorizing the amount of EV's per pokemon or choosing a location and HOPING you bump into the correct pokemon.

As a person who has EV trained countless times in past versions, I would have to say that Super Training and the Punching Bags are simply much, much faster, if not more reliable.
