Just finished the campaign on my B&W Nuzlocke run.
After fucking Cheren killed my Gothitelle, Maralyn, with a Crit Flamethrower + Burn Tick (what an asshole) in our final battle, I had to take on the Elite 4 with a 5 man team and brought along the Vullaby, Isis, I picked up on Victory Road to soak some EXP.
Things went pretty swimmingly, and Isis even got to save the day despite being totally untrained. Shauntal's Cofagrigus was capable of sweeping both of my surviving tanks (My own Cofagrigus with Shadow Ball and my Venipede with Psychic) but Isis was perfectly suited to cock blocking her and Faint Attacked he shit into the ground in an epic battle. Unfortunately Isis went on to die when that cheating bitch Caitlin's Gothitelle got a crit Shadow Ball after a Calm Mind. She survived the swap in non-crit SB with exactly 2/3rds of her health left, so it was a real kick in the teeth.
Anyway I went on to take on N, and since it was DESTINY because I had one open slot on my team and nobody from my reserves above level 30, I went in with Reshiram. I had one loss, my oldest surviving and most beloved mon Evergreen the Leavanny, who died to a Stone Edge critical after Carracosta got Sturdy against my Leaf Blade (FUCK THAT SHIT), but it was otherwise a clean sweep.
And then came the final battle against Ghestis. It was nothing short of a disaster. His Bouffalant committed suicide to kill my Meinshao, Lin. And with my Lin and Evergreen both gone, there was nothing to stop his Hydreigon. And to cap off everything, that mother fucker went FOUR FOR FOUR ON CRITS. Two Dragon Pulses, One Fire Blast, One Focus Blast, and four kills.
Evil has won in the Unova Region. Fucking devil dragons...
