My Gold run was pretty terrific. I remember catching Korban before Jasmine. (He could have wiped my entire team. I think Mongoose was on 17HP when I caught Korban.)
ALL of my Gold team mambers were absolute units. I think out of all of my runs so far, Gold was the most well-rounded and hard-hitting team I've had. Yellow was a close second.
Not once was I worried during my Gold run, even facing Red. It was a pretty fucking cool run. Everyone put in the work.

Well, Gold is officially finished boys
While it was long, it was pretty fun. I forgot mostly everything about Gold since I haven't played the OG games in many years, and felt charmed to play it again (since it was my first Pokemon game I owned)

I ground? grinded? everyone to level 77. No items for Red, I wanted it to be a legit 6v6. Blastoise managed to Freeze Mongoose and Kimbo. Marengo had a scary encounter with Sunny Day+Solar Beam Venusaur, but we managed to live a hit and switch into Xander. Koka obliterated Pikachu and Korban went full ballistic on the rest of Red's team. Fun run despite the massacre around halfway >>34745109

Anyways, Silver is next but I want to eat and take a break first.

Also for all you Ritz fans, she will definitely be back in Crystal. I will redeem her.
