People who worship the Pokemon anime around these parts obviously have never watched another anime in their life. If they did they'd realize that, underneath all of the CRAZY EPIC battles, that nothing about this robotic shit is remotely good or interesting. The artstyle was always bad, the characters are practically cardboard, and Pokemon was never good at writing/story. Because of this, watching all of the junk in between battles is pure asinine. The highlight of the series, the battles, are still poor in comparison to most anime, regardless of dynamic camera angles.
And despite this, it gets a pass because of "unga bunga wow cool ash and greninja badass this is most mature pokemon series ever", waifufaggotry, blind brand loyalty, and actual autism. You know it's autism because of the immense screeching when Ash lost the League, like it even mattered, and the tantrums people threw when SM's art direction was revealed.
