I'll give credit to the modder for keeping most of the base game intact. Unlike someone like Moto or Demice who would remove every status move from the player for instance, your options are just as flexible as the base game, for the most part.
Also, some of the new side content was a neat addition, even if far too late for some of the shit, and being a mod of Reborn means having some of that game's better qualities.

So like, I get it, you need to introduce some level of unfairness/cheatiness in a game like this if you want to maintain difficulty throughout.
I feel like the best way to do that is maybe not to turn every fucking Pokemon have 1500 EVs, illegal movesets and then on top of creating a bunch of autistic extra effects that do nothing but produce utter bullshit for the AI. Holy fucking shit. I don't think I've ever seen a game just blatantly cheat this hard. If it was just shit like, Sticky Web or auto-Spikes like Soulstones 2, that might've been okay, but shit like fucking auto-paralyzing all of your non-Electric mons or the ABSOLUTE MASSIVE FUCKING RETARDATION of the Flower Garden faggots is so far beyond any reasonable line you could draw.
This game was also an absolute fucking slog. Making the grunts not-braindead is one thing, having them essentially be minibosses that sometimes require multiple attempts because of their autistic effects and creating fields is another. EVERY fucking grunt has PULSE2 on all of their mons, there's so many bullfuck retarded 12v12s with dogshit AI partners that literally do no damage and get instantly killed, the AI also will read your entire team, its moves and its items and will even input read you to a certain extent like with Sucker Punch.
