In any pokemon game, you have dexes to complete, items to find, teams to breed, minigames and side activities like Battle Tower to participate in, as well as the whole online aspect. There has always been a lot of stuff to do, but somehow, the fact that many of this content is available even before you finish the main story makes it not count.
In any other game, people would have been happy if there were dozens of hours worth of side activities to spend your time on even before you beat the games, but apparently pokefags are too good for that.
