Welcome to the Showdown monotourney! This tournament is designed to allow players to battle out with their favorite strategies and Pokemon in a monotype format!
The tournament is currently set to have communication on discord, but as long as you sign up for the challong you can only post on the threads if you prefer. As of now, this will only be posted on /vp/. This Is the first iteration of the tournament, so nothing is set in stone just yet.
The tournament will start on august 1st so make sure to get your sign ups in before then! There are no restrictions on type so don’t worry about your type getting sniped before you sign up!
The tournament will take place on showdown with the format of Gen 8 national dex, it will be a bracket style with the top 8 players forming the gym leaders. Anyone who can successfully beat all 8 of them with a specific monotype will take champion with that same monotype. Teams can be switched between gym leaders, but no changes will be permitted between regular bracket battles.
