I dunno if it's the ship-tease, the competent Ash, the animation, the battles or the characters but this feels... right. Like when Serena was introducing her friends to her mom, there was something like a sense of "a start of something pleasant" going on there and the impending melancholy when they part ways at the end of the series.
I'm scared.
