I progressed on, gave HORION Cut, then beat Surge without major trouble. Chukter continues to be Chadter, moving forward without any issue, saaaveee for the lack of a Cut user. Rules imply I can't just pull SHROOB out and use his carcass as a Machete, so I went back to Cerulean to get a Pidgey, and traded it for DUX, who due to being an HM capture is immediately counted invalid. MERLON then sweeped the gym because Kadabra is broken. SamHyde was the lucky finder of Drowzee, except RNINEK just did a SAUKOPF and died like second trainer into the ship. The rest of the way went swimmingly after I evolved BIFFANY just in time for her to get Body Slam naturally. Bonus points, BIG NIGGA evolved as a result of beating Surge, which allowed him and MERLON to get their evolutions.
And then Cindy continued to pay for her insolence. I got mad at how everything was hurting far too much, so I over leveled everyone, but even that wasn't enough for BRADY to pass the test of honor against Surge's buffer Raichu, so he dies a disgrace as the first starter kill.
